I'll be going through my past month's cosplays and some of the photos that have not seen light of day throughout the upcoming days/weeks.I'll take a breather and Re-shoot my Rei Ayanami. Then start on my last plan of the year. For now, Have at ya! My Emi Yusa Cosplay Other KuriCurry Cosplay Projects:
My version of Kuroneko, admittedly I don't think I did her justice. She's just way too cute for me to do! Still did her though, I wanted to surprise someone. Besides that, I like her the best in the series other than Ayase. Story time:
This was shot in Tagaytay, a place that is around 2 hours by drive from home. I had a costume fitting during that day as well. And it rained a LOT. The whole plan was to have sunny shots on the outside of the house as well. But in the end we had to use the 2nd floor living room. And the glass walls of the house were dyed in black. (Due to how late we got and how long I took to change and whatnot) This Kuroneko outfit/ Ruri Gokou cosplay I made was supposedly for the last week of August. It was something to console myself with as I was tasked to help out friends for a video shoot. (In which case I ended up doing nothing instead) In the end, I guess I just had to be patient at times and things will come my way. "Deep Sea Girl" by Hatsune Miku is seriously a weird yet catchy song. Am not sure if I'm to take the lyrics literally or not. But hey, it makes one think unlike most of the english blurb we get here locally from radio stations. Click here for the video and song. Fantasy Quest is but 4 days away, and I spent last week making this costume instead. XD I should seriously whack myself silly for thinking that an armor for Emi Yusa is doable within the week. (And said week is rainy as hell and I have a day job too)
Cute Emi Yusa in her "angel" or "hero" form
Emi Yusa, or quite literally the "Hero" in the anime "Hataraku Maō-sama" or translated in english "The Devil is a Part-Timer" Series Summary: I think it's best shortened into, dimensional travel wherein people from a medieval period with a mix of magic and demons get transported into "Our world" or the year 2012 and have to live as 'normal human beings'. When I say normal, the very base definition as in working, finding rent making documents and daily budgeting is taken into consideration in this anime. Which is fairly interesting. The series already ended though, and I've never read the manga. My cosplay progress:
You might not even know her (give the manga or the series a try! It's worth it) , but she's a really interesting character with a certain 'depth' to her. Though when I say 'depth' I don't mean the complexity of a human being of course, that's hard to achieve but she has grudges, and inadequacies that are just adorable. She's pretty clumsy to boot!
For a commoner like myself, life goes on and chores need to be done even if I am sick. No one else would do it otherwise. It doesn't help that I'm OC really, it's frustrating to have to put everything back or clean up even when I'm feeling this miserable.
Anyway, Better health to you! Whoever you are. In the five minutes Mikasa closed her tired eyes, a million people had died that day. And for all the jokes I make of the series and of her, I love this feisty and yet fragile fighter. She's awesome! Click the link at the end for a taste of the manga. It's currently at Chapter 47 in the manga, and 16 episodes in the series
It just seemed like a fitting post for the last weekend of the month! And hurray for new OP songs for our beloved Shingeki no Kyojin series. (Read the manga here) "The world is cruel and unforgiving,
And yet so beautiful" ~ミカサ・アッカーマン (Mikasa Ackerman) Hatsune Miku is and always will be my favorite Vocaloid (A voice synthesizer with a personality). Read more about Miku and Voice synthesizers here. Reality Hits: As I scamper around and pretend I'm waiting for Kaito, as Hatsune Miku... the whole facade lets up and I wake up to reality. After wearing costumes and whatnot, what awaits us is real life. A day job, and real world problems like what to cook for dinner and financial matters.
On a more personal note: I'm still struggling to get some stability in my life. I still don't really know what I should be doing. But I'm covering a lot of ground by studying a LOT of things. There's coding, some softwares and more coding! I hope I get to where I want in life soon.
As I've said before? I don't really expect to be featured. There are thousands upon thousands who are way better than me in this hobby. So It's always a surprise to see things like these for being overly passionate about this hobby.
